SYDNEY, Australia, 6 December 2024: Mitsubishi Electric Australia is pleased to announce the addition of a compact French door refrigerator to its LX Series product line.

The Mitsubishi Electric LX series of refrigerators showcases purpose-driven design, having been specifically engineered and manufactured to meet the unique requirements of Australian households. The range exemplifies the commitment of Mitsubishi Electric to delivering refrigerators that align with Australian families' lifestyle preferences and kitchen configurations.

'Through continuous dialogue with Australian consumers, we identified a clear demand for a more compact French door fridge within our premium LX series,' explains Jean-Marc Adele, Home Appliance Product Manager at Mitsubishi Electric Australia. 'The introduction of the MR-LX442EX with a 442L capacity, is a direct response to this feedback.'

Designed specifically for smaller kitchen spaces, the new MR-LX442EX French door refrigerator retains the series' signature wide interior storage space despite its more compact dimensions. The separate freezer and vegetable drawers enhance accessibility while helping customers efficiently organise their food storage.

The LX series features a Supercool Chilling Case, which is ideal for storing meats, fish, and other perishables. It maintains a temperature of approximately -3° to 0°C to keep them sufficiently cooled without freezing them. This gives the user the convenience of cooking their food without defrosting it.

The series also features a Vegetable Drawer with a built-in VitaLED light, designed to maximise the freshness of produce. The drawer has higher humidity than the main refrigerator compartment and is ideal for storing and keeping fruit and vegetables crisper and fresher for longer.

The convenient automatic ice maker requires no plumbing connection and features a removable 1.1L water tank that's cleverly integrated without using any refrigerator storage space. This innovative design maximises internal capacity while making cleaning easy and delivering a reliable supply of fresh ice.

• a movable utility case to store eggs and small pieces

This model is available in Dark Silver, Brilliant Black, and Glacier White glass front panel finishes to complement any modern kitchen’s aesthetic.
