Mitsubishi Electric announces Built-In Wi-Fi across its popular range of air conditioners

SYDNEY, Australia, 1 April 2025 – Mitsubishi Electric, one of the world’s leading names in air conditioning solutions, is excited to announce that its MSZ-AP Series, MSZ-EF Series, and MFZ-KW Series will now have built-in Wi-Fi connectivity. This welcome feature offers Australians unparalleled convenience, allowing users to control their comfort anywhere, anytime.

The integration of Wi-Fi into Mitsubishi Electric air conditioning units enables users to remotely adjust settings, including temperature, mode, and fan speed, through the app, which is compatible with both iOS and Android devices.

This latest technology advancement from Mitsubishi Electric will roll out across three of its popular air conditioner series:

MSZ-AP Series*

Capacity Range: 2.0/2.5/3.5/4.2/5.0/6.0/7.1/7.8kW

The MSZ-AP Series is engineered for high performance and lower operating noise levels and has a streamlined design to blend in with décor. Features include:

  • Quiet Operation: The ‘Quiet Mode’ fan speed setting ensures super quiet operation.
  • Night Mode: Reduces the brightness of the operation indicator light, disables beep noises, and limits the noise level of the outdoor unit.
  • Dual Barrier Coating: Helps reduce dust and greasy dirt from adhering to the heat exchanger and facial surfaces.
  • Wide & Long Airflow: Beneficial for large spaces, helping to ensure that air is well circulated and reaches every corner of the room.

MSZ-EF Series

Capacity Range: 2.5/3.5/4.2/5.0 kW

The streamlined wall-mounted indoor units have contemporary, clean lines, expressing sophistication and quality, in a modern design. Features include:

  • Quiet Operation: The ‘Quiet Mode’ fan speed setting ensures super quiet operation.
  • Nano Platinum Filter: Reduces airborne bacteria while improving air quality.
  • i-Save Mode: A simplified setting function that recalls the preferred temperature by pressing a single button on the remote controller.
  • Built-in Weekly Timer: Temperature settings and On/Off control can be managed over a period of one week using the Weekly Timer.
  • Colour Options: Available in Natural White, Matte Silver, and Glossy Black to suit modern interior designs.

MFZ-KW Series

Capacity Range: 2.5/3.5/4.2/5.0/6.0kW

These floor consoles are a great renovation option with their slimline design, fitting neatly into cavities of renovated fireplaces or heaters. Features include:

  • Slim & Sophisticated Design: The indoor unit can be recessed into a wall, significantly reducing its depth from 215mm to 145mm.
  • Rapid Heating Technology: Ensures the perfect room temperature is reached faster.
  • i-Save Mode: A simplified setting function that recalls the preferred temperature by pressing a single button on the remote controller.
  • Nano Platinum Filter: Reduces airborne bacteria while improving air quality.
